Meet the Blackbirdies: Sandy Garcia, Client Services Lead

In her five years at Blackbird, the next person up in our Meet the Blackbirdies series has hit a startling number of milestones: transformative client growth, a few promotions, a big industry honor as a rising star, and even marriage (to another Blackbirdie, no less).

One of the brightest rising stars in digital marketing!

We’re excited to help you get to know Sandy Garcia, one of our biggest success stories!

When did you join Blackbird PPC?

I joined Blackbird in February 2021 – almost 5 years ago!

When did you get started in digital marketing (and in what role)?
I got started in digital marketing at Blackbird, where I joined as an Account Associate and built a solid foundation in paid media and performance marketing. Before Blackbird, I had hands-on experience with organic social media management and email marketing/analytics.

What do you like most about digital marketing?

I like that it’s both creative and analytical. I love testing new ideas, digging into performance data, and using those insights to continuously improve results across accounts.

What do you like most about working at Blackbird?

I love the team and culture. Blackbird is full of smart, supportive teammates who challenge you to grow and keep things fun along the way!

What’s your favorite accomplishment as a digital marketer?

My favorite accomplishments come from brainstorming and testing ideas (whether it’s creative concepts, landing page optimizations, or campaign structures) and then seeing them come to life. Being able to tie real data back to a test you ran is really cool to see.

What are you most proud of in your marketing career?

One of the proudest moments in my marketing career was being nominated for the 2025 US Search Awards Emerging Talent category. I’m grateful for the recognition and motivated to keep growing as a digital marketer! (Editor’s note: Sandy won the Silver Medal in that category.)

What do you think is a common misconception in advertising?

Many people think advertising delivers instant results. In reality, the best campaigns build momentum over time by testing, learning, and iterating to create sustained growth rather than producing immediate success.

What makes for a good agency culture?

Strong agency culture thrives on collaboration. With remote work, you lose the ability to just tap someone on the shoulder to ask a question or discuss performance trends, so clear communication and a supportive team are important!

What’s one crazy prediction you have for marketing channels, features, or functionality for the next 12 months?

I think ads will become more interactive and AI-driven, responding to user actions in real time and automatically adapting content and offers based on engagement. I could also see the rise of voice-first experiences where people can talk to and interact with ads through smart speakers or other devices.

When you’re not growing clients, how are you spending your time?

Outside of work, I love to stay active and explore. I go on hikes with my husband (Editor’s note part 2: her husband, Ethan Paasch, is also a Client Services Lead at Blackbird) and our dog, lift weights, and take weekend trips to the mountains. I also enjoy reading, trying new recipes and going to the beach whenever I can!

…and their very good doggo
